Nitrogenous fertilizer, readily soluble in water, alcohols and liquid ammonia. It takes the form of white prilled, grain class 1-3.15 mm, with at least 90% of the prills covered with anti-caking agents. Prilled urea 46% is hygroscopic. Bulk density: 0.70-0.78 kg/dm3.
Prilled urea 46% includes 46% of nitrogen (N) in ureic form, easily absorbed by the leaves of plants. Absorption through the root system is slower, because urea in soil is converted (as a result of enzymatic hydrolysis) into the ammonia form available for plants, and then into nitrate form.

Intended use and application:
Prilled urea 46% is a very universal fertilizer for foliar nutrition, above all for soil fertilization. It may be used for all cultivated plants, prior to sowing and for top dressing, and for leaf spray in a water solution of a concentration corresponding to the requirements of the species fed and the growth stage of the plant. In very acid, strongly alkaline or freshly limed soils, its effect is less pronounced.
Prilled urea 46% must not be mixed with other nitrogenous fertilizers.
Packaging:
Prilled urea 46% is packaged into:
  • 50 kg ± 0,5 polyethylene valve bags,
  • other packaging and other sizes that ensure the safety of the fertilizer in storage, transport and use and enclosed in such a manner or by means of such device that the opening causes irreversible damage to the closing seal or the packaging itself.
The fertilizer must be transported while protected against water, rainfall, direct sunlight and damage to the packaging.
Urea is not classified, i.e. it is not considered a hazardous material according to the UN Orange Book and international transport codes, for example RID (railway transport), ADR (road transport) and IMDG (sea transport).
With regard to transportation using the road vehicles of the recipient or of a carrier acting on the direct instructions of the recipient, it is the recipient or the carrier who is responsible for any deterioration in the quality of the fertilizer.
Bulk prilled urea can be charged to clean, tight, moisture-protected transport means that meet relevant transport regulations.
In case of a product sent for export, the type and size of the package are agreed with the recipient.
Storage:

Prilled urea 46% packed and in bulk, due to hygroscopicity, should be stored in clean and dry storage buildings on a substrate insulating from moisture. Fertilizer should be protected against water, atmospheric precipitation and direct sunlight.

Fertilizer in packs of 50 kg should be laid horizontally in layers on the substrate insulating from moisture up to a height of 10 layers.
Fertilizer in big-bag packs of 500 kg should be laid vertically in layers on the substrate isolating from moisture in a maximum of 3 layers.
Fertilizers in bulk should be stored by sprinkling them into piles, cones in a way that prevents mixing of individual types of fertilizers. Between the stacks of unit packages, heaps or cones, free spaces should be left to allow transport by means of transport.

Failure to observe the above principles may result in caking.
Precautions:
In the event of irritation of skin and eyes, wash with plenty of water. Dust masks and safety goggles are recommended. If swallowed accidentally, seek medical advice. Nontoxic, odourless, non-flammable fertilizer.
